YOUR NEW ROLE

In your new role as Deputy Home Care Manager you will manage the home
in accordance with its Statement of Purpose and to ensure the
maintenance of a safe and caring environment in accordance with
relevant childcare legislation, national standards and Policies and
Procedures.

As part of your new role you will have key responsibilities that
include staff management, management of resources and finances,
promote high standards, supervision, promote professional development,
maintenance of a safe environment, risk management and provide
leadership and guidance amongst other duties.

You will support the young people according to their wishes and
desires and in accordance with the mission and values of the
organisation. To support families as appropriate and in accordance
with the wishes of the person supported. To also help build social
inclusion for the young people in the communities in which they live.

In return, you will be supported by your line Manager through
supervision and support, listening, training and development and the
best resources they are able to provide to help you deliver your best.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

To be successful as a Deputy Home Care Manger in your new role you
will have:

* A minimum of a Level 7 or 8 in Social Care. Studies or equivalent
relevant qualification in Health or Social Care _OR _in a relevant
professional discipline. Nursing, Psychology, Behaviour Support
Speciality.
* Minimum of 4 years? experience in a children?s residential
service
* Your new role requires you to possess the competencies and skills
appropriate to working with young children in a residential setting
* Have experience of Person-Centred planning
* Full clean driving licence is desirable
* Administrative skills
* Customer service and ability to build positive working
relationships
* Ability to follow company?s policies and procedures
* Flexibility
* Demonstrate knowledge of HIQA/ T?sla standards and safeguarding
legislation
